Ross "Suede" Synthetic Pipe Bag with zipper

Re-designed synthetic pipe bag with a burgundy, suede-like surface for grip. No tie-in installation. Comes with rubber sleeve and clamp for chanter stock. Sizes clearly marked below zipper.  Available with optional Complete Ross Canister System (4 hoses and 2 Canisters).  Available in 5 sizes.

Features of the Ross Complete Canister System Bag:
  • Synthetic material (no seasoning required)

  • Moisture control to all 4 reeds

  • Bottom T-Zip zipper access

  • Replacement canister

  • Detailed installation instructions with pictures

  • Clamps, sleeves, and tape for installation

Like anything else, the canister system performs at it's best when it is well maintained. You may want to consider the following when setting up and playing the canister:
  • More often than not, very few or no granules are required in the chanter compartment of the canister.  Remember your chanter reed needs some moisture to be stable and responsive.

  • Sieve the granules before use to remove the small pieces which can pass through the canister and into the bag or through the hoses.  Dust in the hoses will get to your reeds and make them unsteady.

  • Vacuum out the hoses and the canisters regularly to remove dust

  • Dry the granules after each use for maximum effectiveness

  • To avoid tearing, keep zipper lubricated with lubricant provided. Not keeping zipper properly lubricated will void warranty.

Many players do not use the chanter hose at all, especially dry blowers. A tube water-trap can be used in conjunction with the canister system. If the pipes are set up appropriately for you, little to no restriction in blowing will be felt.

Installation Tips: Take care not to overtighten clamps as this can result in a cracked stock. Also, remember to fit any drone plugs or valves before installing the hoses.

Note: Because the Ross Canister System has many components inside the pipe bag, pipes fitted with the system may become too large for some pipe cases.  Look at case descriptions and dimensions to find one that accommodates the Ross system.
