I began my bagpiping career as a Fire Department piper.  I did this because I felt it was important to honor my firefighting brothers and sisters both in life and death.  The sound of the Great Highland Bagpipes, when played correctly, evokes emotions and feelings that most often cannot be expressed by words alone.
